Responding to reviews

Buiding your social proof doesn't stop in sending and generating review invitations. Another important factor that would help you establish your online presence is by responding to reviews as soon as you receive them. Here are some important points to keep in mind when responding to reviews:

  1. It will show your customers that you care about them. Engaging with your customers through a review response is a good way to tell them that you are listening to their feedback.
  2. It will show your potential customers that you're always on top of your reviews. This will also help them build trust and confidence to test your product or service.
  3. A lot of review sites such as Google will notify the customer when you answer their review. This will help your customers to remember you and can serve as a great catalyst for repurchases and retention.

Now that you know the importance of responding to reviews, I'm sure that your next question is how to respond to it. You can start responding to your reviews by simply visiting Reviews -> My Reviews -> then click Respond

Please keep in mind that not all review sites have a direct connection to our dashboard. It means that you might encounter any of the following scenarios when responding to your reviews:

1. Responding directly from the dashboard

Google, Facebook, and Trustpilot can be set up to have a direct connection with your dashboard. Please reach out to your account manager to set this up. Once connected, you'll be able to reply directly from your dashboard and the responses will be automatically synced to your business pages.

2. Being directed to the review's direct URL on the review site's dashboard

When a direct connection is not possible, the "Respond" button will try to provide you with a direct link to respond to your reviews. This will help you shorten the process of moving from one site to another and searching for the review.

3. Being directed to the review site's general dashboard

For instances where scenarios 1 and 2 are not present, the "Respond" button will attempt to direct you to the review site's general dashboard. From there, you will need to find the review in question and respond to it manually.

Congratulations! You are now set in establishing your online presence. What's next is to wait for your reviews to come in so you can start responding to your customers.
